FIMBank sponsors Rockestra 2013

FIMBank will be sponsoring the 2013 edition of Rockestra, a rock concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra organised by The Malta Community Chest Fund to raise funds for people in need.

 

Rockestra, which will be held on Saturday 14th September at the MFCC in Ta’Qali, will be under the musical direction of Sigmund Mifsud and artistic direction of Pawlu Borg Bonaci, and will include works by groups such as Pink Floyd, Queen, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Alanis Morisette, The Animals, Labyrinth, Toto, Police, Deep Purple, Brian Adams, Robbie Williams and Jimi Hendrix, amongst others. Besides a number of instrumental pieces performed by the orchestra, renowned local artists, including Ivan Grech, Ira Losco, Paul Borg Bonaci, Kevin Borg, Raquele, Ludwig Galea, Petra, Matt of Red Electrick, Chris & Moira, Chris Grech, Errol Sammut and Frank Calleja, will have a unique experience to perform popular pieces with 65 musicians of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert is being held under the distinguished patronage of The President of Malta and Mrs Abela.

Commenting on FIMBank’s sponsorship of this event, President Margrith Lütschg-Emmenegger, stated that the Bank was proud to be associated with a popular musical event which has become a highlight of Malta’s cultural calendar. She said that it was also an honour to support a Malta Community Chest Fund initiative which had philanthropic ends.
